About the International leadership School "Аrgo"

International Leadership School "Argo" came into existence in September, 2004, when in township Ponizovka, nearby Phoros, at the Black Sea coast, were gathered students from National Mining University (Dnipropetrovsk) and Wroclaw School of Banking (Wroclaw, Poland). They spoke in different languages, were of various ages and unfamiliar with each other’s cultures and lives. But they had been united by a common desire to become leaders: to manage ones’ lives, choose and create their common European future.

Students and their professors from two biggest industrial and business cities in both countries - Dnipropetrovsk and Wroclaw - have been working for good purpose there. Just during our School, in the Crimea, people from Poland and Ukraine come in new contacts and meet their new friends, discuss and realize common perspective projects. Our school has become a first step of many Ukrainian students to participate in international educational programms as well for Polish ones - to take part in different projects provided by our university. It is our school that helps Europeans to get some new information about Ukraine and its potential, facilitates cross-cultural communication and European integration among our nations.

Professor Oleksandr Sharov, the director of Economic Institute, has become an architect and inspirer of our School as he strives to develop leadership skills and impart the sense of responsibility either for Polish and Ukrainian students, train in them team-work attainments as well as creativity and patriotic sentiment. These intentions have met with support of our university’s governing body - and our School has arisen.

Leadership, as we know, is a managerial tool - we assist our students to be familiar with it.
