Trade-Union Committee

Head of the Trade-Union Committee is SALO Valeriy Victorovych, member of the Central Committee Union of the Education and Science Staff of Ukraine.

Trade-Union organization is composed of according to the structure of the University:

• trade-union bureaus of the faculties (institutes), subdivisions of the economic department and administration;
• trade-union groups of the departments, divisions;
• trade-union student groups.

Today in the structure of the department there are 9 trade-union bureaus, 468 trade-union groups, uniting near 9 thousand members.

The work of the trade-union organization is administered by the trade-union committee, which is elected by the highest body of the University trade-union – a conference. The trade-union organization of the University is a member body of the Education and Science Staff of Ukraine.

Main direction of work of the trade-union and its structural subdivisions is representation, protection of labor, social and economic rights and interests of the staff and students – members of the trade-union. In the field of the trade-union’s attention there is an issue of salaries, organization of health-care, leisure, every-day life of staff and students, and members of their families, issues of providing health and safe conditions of labor and study.

In the work the trade-union committee is governed by the principle of social partnership with rector’s administration, heads of the faculties (institutes), departments, other structural unions of the University.

Today the University has a branched infrastructure for implementing different social programs:

• cultural and education Center of Leisure;
• sport complex, sport club;
• student recreational facility;
• medical health-care center;
• sport health-care camp “Girnyk”;
• net of social meal enterprises.
