Prydniprovsk science-and-technology center of information protection

Head of the Centre is Victor Illarionovich BILYI, senior scientific worker. Scientific Head of the Centre is Georgyi Vitaliyevich KUZNETSOV.

Prydniprovsk science-and-technology centre of information protection (Centre) of the National Mining University was created in 1998 by the general order of the Minister of Ukraine for education and the President of State Committee of Ukraine for state secret questions and technical security of information with the purpose to provide requirements of Prydniprovsk region by specialists in information security, improvement of their training, retraining and raising the level of one’s skill, integration of education, science and manufacture, more efficient using of science-educational potential and science-laboratory base of the National Mining University.

Centre’s structure includes the following sectors:

• research and development of specialized software,
  
• research and development methods of technical security of information,
  
• normative and juridical maintenance,
  
• department of raising the level of one`s skill and training, technical group.
  

The main functions and directions of Centre’s activity are:

• Participation in training and retraining of staff for working in information security region;
  
• Elaboration of propositions and recommendations for development of information security systems;
  
• Organization and implementation of research works in region of information security;
  
• Participation in controlling the usage of information security rules and demands in the objects of information activity;
  
• Participations in development of normative documents in questions of information security;
  
• Giving a consultation service in sphere of information security.
