Department of Ecology

The Department of Ecology is headed by Alla Ivanivna Gorova, a Doctor of Biological Science, professor, a member of the National Commission on Radiation Protection of Population at the Parliament of Ukraine, an Academician of the Ukrainian Ecological Academy.

The Department of Ecology was founded in 1998.

Qualification levels: bachelor, specialist, master.

The academic process is provided by 6 Professors, 6 Senior Lecturers and 10 Assistant Professors.

There are two kind of study available at the Department: full-time and extramural.

The Department has training branch for purposes of academic process. It has been functioning since 2003 in the Dniepropetrovsk Regional Sanitary Service. There is a training center «Ecological Safety». The International Laboratory was founded in 2005 at the Department of Ecology in comly with Education Decade for Stable Development UNESCO (2005-2014).

The students have an opportunity to take a post-graduate training course “Environmental Safety”.

The main directions of scientific activity of the Department of Ecology are oriented on resolving of fundamental and applied environmental problems in mining industry and other branches of the national economy.
