Department of machinery design bases

Head of the department is Kyril Albertovich ZYBOROV, engineer - mechanic, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor.

In 1899 the cabinet of the technical drawing for preparation of mining engineers is organized. In 1937 on the base of cabinet the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Drawing was formed.

On the base of department in 2003 «Center of information technologies of designing », which unites 4 computer classes equipped by the modern computing engineering and new program tools, is created. In 2005 on this base there was established the department of «Bases of Designing Mechanisms and Machines».

In 2009 on the base of department the «authorized educational center ASKON on software products was created COMPASS-3D» (http://edu.ascon.ru/training_units/?land=Ukraine) in which the certificated specialists studying of students with the use of the newest computer technologies. Annually jointly with the «ASKON company» is conducted  international «Competition of Aces of 3D design and drawing» in which takes part, both teaching staff and students. Complex use of the systems COMPASS-3D, electronic reference books of materials and assortments allows to model in the conditions of educational laboratory the work of bureau a designer, technological or project. The use in the educational process of modern computer technique and licensed software is «COMPASS-3D» of the ASKON firm, and also licensed software products of the DELCAM: Power Shape, Power Mill, CopyCAD, ArtCAM and allows dr. of used within the framework of «Delcam Approved Training Centre» (educational center DELCAM created in 2008) on the base of NMU to conduct preparation of skilled specialists in area of planning, constructing and technological preparation of production.

Presently the department facilitates educational process for students of all technical specialties of the University, which are taught on the following disciplines:

Descriptive geometry:

• Engineering graphic;
• Computer graphics;
• Applied computer graphics;
• Theory of mechanisms and machines;
• Details of machines;
• Informatics;
• Computer technique and programming;
• Methods and tools of modern designer decisions;
• Technological equipment of ware-house complexes;
• Machine-building computer drawing.

An educational process is provided by 12 candidates of engineering sciences, associate professors, 2 senior teachers. In all 23 men work on a department, including a technical personnel.

By a department are set and two-way communications with the enterprises of Ukraine educational, scientific and industrial are supported. The specialists of department constantly take part in international seminars on the modern complex decisions in the questions of information technologies of planning of the technical systems.

A department conducts research work on issues of dynamics of lifting-transport machines and consolidating of details of mining machines.
