Department of Civil and Economic Law

The head of Department is Roman Stanislavovich Kirin, lawyer, mining engineer, Candidate of Science, Associate Professor. He is a Prize Winner of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The department was founded in September, 2001.

At present the department provides education for the students of full-time, correspondence and external courses on direction “Law” in specialty “Jurisprudence”.

Levels of training: bachelor, specialist.

26 subjects are taught by 5 PhD professors (3 of them are PhD in Law), 5 associate professors, 5 senior teachers. In common there are 15 persons working at the department.

The department has close relationship with law-enforcement bodies and local administration, and also with law faculties and educational institutions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Zaporozhie, Cottbus (Germany), where our students and members of teaching staff study, practice and work on internship.

Main directions of scientific activity of the department are:

• ecological law, land law, labor law.
  
• mining and geological law, power and energy law.
  
• civil law, commercial law, banking law.
