Department of chemistry

The head of department is Egorov Pavel Alekseevich — a chemical engineer, candidate of chemistry science, professor.

At opening the Mining school of Ekaterinoslav professor V.V. Kurilov, apprentice of D.I. Mendeleev, has organized the laboratory of general chemistry for preparing mining engineers of chemical discipline.

Destination of the department is a general education (chemistry, general and physical chemistry) and special disciplines (chemistry of coal, chemistry of the material composition).

At the department there work 1 professor, 3 candidate of science, 1 senior teacher, 2 assistants.

Scientific activity is realized through directions:

• thermodynamic studies of real gas, solutions and solid substances;
  
• studies of the enrichment and salvaging the different systems for the reason of minimum influence on the environment;
  
• selective coagulation coal and permanganic slip.
