Institute of Extramural and Distance Learning

Director of the Institute is Anatoliy Yakovlevich Rybalko, Candidate of Technical Science, State prize laureate in the field of science and engineering , Professor of the Department of Power Supply Systems.

Extramural faculty was founded in 1958 and reorganized into the Institute of Extramural and Distance Education as an organic part of the National Mining University in 2001.

The training is carried out to obtain the following education and qualification levels:

• Bachelor on the basis of full secondary education with the training term of 4 years;
  
• Bachelor on the basis of education and qualification level "junior specialist" with the training term of 2,5 years;
  
• Specialist on the basis of education and qualification level "bachelor" according to appropriate directions of training (1,5 years of training);
  
• Specialist on the basis of higher education (2,5 years of training);
  
• Master on the basis of qualification level "specialist" or on the basis of higher education according to the appropriate profession (1,5 years of training).
  

The following opportunities are offered for full-time students of higher educational establishments of the Institute of Extramural and Distance Learning:

• parallel obtaining of higher education according to any specialty of education and qualification level “Bachelor”, "Specialist" or "Master";
  
• advanced, repeated, additional study of certain disciplines in the conditions of full-time – part-time forms of education;
  
• study blocks of disciplines according to the second specialty or specialization on relative specialties.
