Department of Geodesy

The head of the department is Alexander Grygorovych Bondaruck, mining engineer - surveyor, Candidate of Technical Science, Assistant Professor.

In 1920 the Geodesy Department became an independent structural institute unit and in 2001 it started training graduate students to submit a diploma.

At the department students are trained according to the following direction “Geodesy, mapgraphy and land system on specialty “Land system and cadastre”.

Levels of educational qualification are Bachelor, Specialist.

The teaching staff of the department consists of four candidates of technical science, assistant professors, one senior teacher, nine teachers.16 people are working at the department including operating staff.

Scientific activity of department is carried out on the following directions:

• landslide processes;
  
• motion of the earthcrust;
  
• metal structure deformation of quarry strip mining equipment;
  
• shrinkage of hygrotechnical and industrial constructions;
  
• land system and cadastre;
  
• GPS-technology in geodesy.
