Foreign students training

The Dean’s Office on foreign students’ work is headed by Viacheslav Ivanovyhc PETROVSKIY.

Provision of educational services for foreign students at the University started in the 50-th of the 20-th century, and it became a priority direction of the National Mining University’s international activity with the time of Ukrainian Independence.

Over the last 10 years more than 400 representatives from 28 countries of the world have studied at the University. 14 of them have successfully completed Candidate Thesis and obtained scientific degree “Philosophy Doctor”.

Main directions of foreign students’ training:

• electrical engineering
• computer science
• geology
• economics and entrepreneurship
• management

The proof of high quality training of the University’s graduates is their prompt career growth and fruitful work on positions of subdivisions heads in mining and industrial enterprises, higher educational institutions of Angola, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, China, India, Turkey, Morocco, Sudan, Mozambique, Nigeria, Peru, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan.

Directions of Dean’s Office activity:

1. involvement of foreign students to study;
2. invitation, acceptance, arrangement of documents providing the foreigners’ rights to study in Ukraine and at the University;
3. all-side assistance in the creation of conditions for study and every-day life of foreign students;
4. solution of problems, which arise in the educational process of foreigners;
5. arrangement of papers on education for foreigners who graduated from the University;
6. support of the relationship with foreign graduates of the University.
