The Ukrainian-American Linguistic Center (ualc) was founded in 1995. It is a small, friendly institution with a diverse range of programs including a special educational program for children and adults. Each of our programs is highly flexible and can be tailored to the student’s individual needs:
The “Harmony of child’s development” begins for children of 5-6 years old when they start to understand the beauty of nature, art, music and create their own impression about the world around them. This program awakes all the
creative abilities of the child including drama, rhythm, critical thinking and logic. This program helps the child to become all-round educated person. It is a high stage in child’s development, which helps them to join any complicated program in an elementary school.
The program for teenagers is a wonderful journey into the world of English with experienced teachers who help children to gain necessary skills for easy communication. The teaching is based on programs of American colleges. Combination of different approaches helps teachers to find
the best way for a particular child.
Our Business course is designed for those who need to understand and express key concepts of business and economics. It covers the most important areas of management, production, marketing, finance and macroeconomics. It will also develop the skills in compiling
business letters.
After completing the whole program (24 months) and passing the exam students get a certificate and have the right to work as a translator and interpreter.
Many of our teachers have taught abroad and received advanced certificates. The International Educational Program has the following aspects:
- 4 weeks English Language program at Lake County College, Chicago, Illinois;
- 2 weeks Business Training (any field of activities) at Lake County;
- College, Chicago, Illinois. The program was created by Chamber of Commerce Washington D.C.;
- Professional Development Course for teachers;
